What's lacking in Didsbury? How about an April Fool's Day Party! And that's exactly what's happening at the Didsbury Museum on Saturday, April 1st - the perfect way to start April with a bang! What better way to celebrate April Fool's Day than on a "sugar high"! It might be on April Fool's Day, but this is no joke - everyone is invited to bring a friend and celebrate the joy of sweet people gathering for some sweet treats!
The fun runs any time between 11 am and 3 pm at the Didsbury Museum. Come sample a variety of desserts and a beverage for a donation of just $10. The Mercantile Room will be decorated with court jesters and jokers galore, all with big grins and fun written all over them - perfect for your happy faces too! After your treats, remember to stay a while longer and see what's new amongst the displays and exhibits. Wait till you see the new showcase of more than 50 ladies hats worn through the generations! There's a new exhibit in the Homestead Room of fur coats, muffs, and stoles, where you'll also see our new Uranium Glass collection, a rarity in museums, and a beauty when it glows! There's also a new addition to the train room upstairs. You'll have to look up - look way up! The Garden Train has expanded! The Mountain View Model Railroad Club has put a G-Scale track around the UPPER section of the Train Room. Now you can experience the larger train year-round! So, plan to attend the Museum's "Sugar Fest". Do they promise no whoopie cushions? Not necessarily - you just have to come and find out in person! The Museum is located at 2110 - 21st Avenue. See you there!
