Has your child been struggling with Math or English in school? With support from teachers in our local schools, peer tutors have been recommended to help other students get ahead these last few months of the school year. With support from the Mountain View Family Resource Network, the Didsbury Library is hosting a free tutoring program to all Didsbury students in Grades 3 - 12. These are drop-in sessions from 3:30 - 4:30 pm each Thursday.
The program is a great message of student collaboration and involvement, and establishes connections between students who are able to tutor and those who need a little help along the way. These peer tutors will give your child the individualized attention that they might not get in a crowded classroom. In addition, some students feel more comfortable and open when interacting with a peer. Next Tutoring Dates May 19 May 26 June 2 Final Session - June 9 Needing help is never a bad thing, especially when it comes to school work! To help you, your child, your teacher, and the peer tutors, consider signing up for your own tutor. Remember to have your child bring their Math/English questions and school supplies.
