|It's that time of year again, time to take the family out for an all-you-can-eat supper, courtesy of the kitchen magicians from the Didsbury Elks Lodge. The Elks members always look forward to giving folks a chance to get out of their homes in the fall to talk and share their stories of summer.|
Getting the community together over a warm meal does wonders for the neighbourly spirit and fabric of the community. And it's open to everyone in the Didsbury from 5:30 - 7:30 pm on Friday, October 26th!
The Spaghetti Supper is not only a fun event for our community, but an opportunity to enjoy the company of other families.
Free food, friendly folks and a great break from cooking!
The supper on October 26th reminds Didsbury who and what the Elks are, and what they do for the community, and also to garner interest in those seeking to make a difference.
This is a community supper and donations are appreciated.
The Didsbury Lodge, which has been around for 51 years this year, plays a large role in the community, as trade shows and private functions are held in the Elks Hall, which was originally a theatre and opera house.
It also reminds Didsbury who and what the Elks are, what they do for the community, and also helps garner interest in those in town who might be looking for a volunteer opportunity to help to make a difference in town.
The Elks Lodge is a Canadian volunteer organization of men and women serving our community. The Didsbury Elks host a pancake breakfast and the annual downtown parade in August, the spaghetti supper in October, a Remembrance Day Lunch, Mother's Day Breakfast, and own and operate the Didsbury Campground at Cipperley's.
