Bring volunteers together on web - Posted: Wed, Oct 10, 2018, 11:27 am
It started out as a conversation in facebook and has now become "a thing". That's the new "Didsbury Helps" website, designed and hosted by Twyla and Jim Penner of Didsbury Computers.

Didsbury Helps is a great place to recruit volunteers. This website will be a great place for anyone who might want to lend a hand with any organization in town. It's also going to serve as a spot for organizations to post their volunteer needs and maybe even share resources with each other.

"We'd like to include as many programs and organizations as possible," said Twyla Penner. "Whether you're looking for a place to volunteer or need some of these resources for yourself and your family, we'd like to make it useful for everyone."

Newcomers to town, especially, have a hard time knowing where to start. Once everyone gets the word out that Didsbury Helps is here TO HELP, it won't take long for groups to fill some needs, and for people to realize they are welcome and encouraged to build the community they have chosen to call home.

Posting your organization on the website is entirely free! Go to www.didsburyhelps.com and click the REGISTER button at the top.

Organizations already posting include the Mountain View Arts Society, 2A Community Band, Didsbury High School Music, Didsbury Preschool, Didsbury Ducks Unlimited, Didsbury Museum, Essentials for our Community, Olds/Didsbury/Sundre Rural Crime Watch, and Didsbury Lions Club.

Join these great organizations by adding your own. Let's fill this website and show the world that "DIDSBURY HELPS"!
