|You've heard a lot about Pickleball this past year, and while the Town set up a program earlier in the spring and the high school, then again at the Memorial Complex. And now it's found a home at Westglen Middle School!|
The fun begins on Monday, October 15th and continues on Monday nights from 6:30-9 pm.
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis, with the main difference being that you hit a perforated plastic ball over the net. You can play singles or doubles, but doubles is often the favourite.
The game is relatively easy to learn and can develop into a face-paced, competitive game once you get onto it. It is a sport for all ages and abilities.
If you are just starting out, the group can provide you with a paddle and ball, all you need to bring is indoor shoes!
At this time, it is only open to age 18+.
With a drop-in fee of only $3 there's no good reason not to try out this sport, but I'll warn you, it's easy to become addicted to this game!
