|As tradition dictates, one Ride starts in Red Deer, and one Ride starts in Didsbury, and everyone ends up in Didsbury!|
That's the 18th Annual Rural Alberta Ride for Dad we're talking about, where bikers from across Central Alberta raise funds to fight prostate cancer in our community.
Join them for a fun-filled day of riding with a lunch, poker run, prizes and much more, all while helping raise money to fight prostate cancer.
Registering online helps save administrative costs and allows the volunteers a chance to plan a better event for you.
The Didsbury Ride departs from and returns to the Zion Church. Registration is from 8 - 9 am. Kick-stands up at 9:30 am!
The national average is 1 in 7 men diagnosed with prostate cancer during their lives, with 2 of them dying from it. For some mysterious reason, in our area it is more like 1 in 5 men diagnosed.
Every day, 12 men die of prostate cancer in Canada. But 90% of prostate cancer cases can be successfully treated if detected early!
Every man needs to get checked. Early detection is often the key to conquering it.
Celebrating 18 years in 2018 - 18 years of revving your engines for the fight against prostate cancer across Canada!
To date, the Ride For Dad has raised more than $23 million to support prostate cancer research and awareness!
Registration is $30 and Riders with $50 or more in pledges are eligible for the poker run and prizes.
