|Many Albertans have joined community gardens, and the Didsbury Agricultural Society is giving local folks another year of growing and sharing.|
Didsbury's community garden is a piece of land located at the Fairgrounds, gardened collectively by a group of local friends and neighbours.
Each plot is $25 for an entire year of fresh vegetables! (Plus a $10 annual Ag Society membership)
Plots are 12' x 24' and should be ready by Mother's Day.
Besides giving people with small yards a chance to have their own garden plot, the community garden gives Didsburians who are struggling to feed their families an opportunity to get fresh produce from the "local food pantry".
Very often growing more food than we can use, you can always preserve or give to friends. Share some of your harvest bounty with neighbours in need.
