|Come down to the old Didsbury Fire Hall and celebrate one of the biggest and best sales yet! The Friends of the Didsbury Library Society are hosting a two day book sale on Friday and Saturday, March 16 and 17.|
There is likely as many as 15,000 books on the floor, so you should be able to find what you're looking for!
Great bargains on books, magazines, CDs, audio books - all sorted into categories like History, Cooking, Landscaping, Drama - you name it, they'll probably have it for you!
Payment is by donation, so whatever you are comfortable giving, the Friends are happy to receive. All proceeds go to the Didsbury Municipal Library.
The Book Sale runs from 12 - 6 pm on Friday, and 9 am - 2 pm on Saturday. Call Margery Steckler at 403-335-4281 for details.
The old Fire Hall is located at 2101 - 19th Avenue (just west of the library). Free parking.
A little unknown fact: Book Sales help keep 15 - 20,000 tons of books out of the dump!
And if you don't want to read a book, why not take some and re-create them into art? Books are the newest, hottest medium for artists to carve, paint and up-cycle. You'll probably find a story about a bunny or chick for Easter. Books make great Mother's Day gifts, too!
