|Everyone in Didsbury is gearing up for Country Christmas, and while the Chamber of Commerce is the main host with the business community, there's lots of community organizations involved as well. Wrap yourself into your boots and mitts and come to Didsbury on December 1st for all the fun!|
First things first of course - Santa Claus will be at the Train Station. And don't worry if all his talk of candy cakes and cookies makes you a little hungry, the 1st Didsbury Scout Group will be serving beef-on-a-bun and cotton candy from 5:30 pm to 9 pm at the Train Station.
While you're at the Train Station, please do what you can to help those less fortunate by sponsoring a Christmas Hamper. Linda Sirr will be there from 5 - 9 pm.
Members of the Mountain View Arts Society will be Christmas carolling as well, so if the spirit moves you, plan to join in on some of your favourites.
The Didsbury Library is going to have all sorts of fun things happening during Country Christmas as well! You better come prepared to stay for a while!
Down main street north of the Train Station is the Mini Trade Show at the Elks Hall. Running from 5 to 10 pm, there is a wide variety of vendors.
After shopping at all those tables, you'll definitely be hungry, so bring your appetite! There is a Concession at the Elks Hall. Mmmm good food planned for all!
And of course, a Didsbury Country Christmas would not be complete without the shopping from store to store. Every retail store will be open and ready for you. This is a great time to get a lot of your gift buying done - and you're supporting our local businesses who support our organizations all year long!
A night you and your kids will look forward to every year!
