We keep the community hall active with annual events and summer rentals. The horse poker rally held in September and our turkey supper held in October are the two main fundraisers. The Didsbury & District Chamber of Commerce is a community-based volunteer business organization, whose purpose is to support, promote, nurture, and educate for the improvement of our business community. The Didsbury Chamber has an active membership of about 75 businesses. The Chamber host the Didsbury Art, Travel and Trade Expo each April, a Merchant’s Pancake Breakfast in August, and the Small Business Week Gala in October.

The Didsbury Elks Lodge meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month except July and August. There is an annual windup meeting every year on the last Saturday in June and guests are welcome. There is also an annual parade in August, co-hosted by the Didsbury Royal Purple. The Elks operate the Cipperly’s Pond Campground, open between May and September. The Elks Hall is located in downtown Didsbury. Can be rented for events, non-smoking, kid friendly, stage, kitchen.

The Club owns and operates the Lions Shuttle Bus, offering taxi service in the community. Each year, members of the Didsbury Lions Club build a gazebo and raffle off tickets at the annual Didsbury Art, Travel & Trade Expo and throughout the summer, with the draw being made in August during the Fair & Rodeo. Proceeds from the raffle go to support many worthwhile events and activities in the community, and those initiated by Lions Club International. Ducks Unlimited is far more than just ducks. It is an organization passionate about wetlands, stream beds and water quality, the major components of duck habitat and our quality of life. A fundraising dinner is held each spring.

Melvin Hall is a small community hall west of Didsbury, Alberta with a goal of becoming a thriving hall once again. The hall boasts a beautiful dance floor suitable for all types of gatherings - dancing, playing, meetings - endless opportunities. The hall was built in 1936 and went dormant for a number of years after 2002. In 2012, the hall applied for new society status and has been revitalized. The Olds & District Christmas Angels Society provides Christmas food and toy hampers to families in the Olds area. Each hamper contains food for a traditional Christmas dinner, toys for the children (0 - 17) with extra non-perishable food items available. Donation boxes for food, toys and cash are placed at local businesses, banks and the Town of Olds Office mid-November. The society is a registered non-profit organization. Charitable receipts are issued for donations of $10 or more.

The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world to which both women and men can belong.
