Meals on Wheels is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization designed to assist elderly or disabled people to remain in their homes as long as possible, while maintaining proper nutrition. The drivers not only deliver food but also provide the client with an outside contact for five days a week. Meals on Wheels is also designed to assist persons on discharge from the hospital during a convalescent period. Meals are prepared at the hospital so special diets can be accommodated. Meals are delivered by volunteers Monday to Friday at 4.30 pm. Clients are charged a price, set by the hospital, and meal tickets are sold at the beginning of the month. Volunteer drivers are always welcome.

Mountain View Seniorís Housing is a non-profit registered charitable organization providing assistance to seniors through lodges and self-contained apartments in Mountain View County. MVSH also operates several community housing units throughout the county for low-income families who require subsidized housing assistance. In the communities of Olds, Didsbury, Sundre, and Carstairs. Rent is based on 30% of total income. MVSH is responsible for heat, water, and sewer. Security deposit is equal to first month's rent.

Owned and operated by the Town of Olds, this wheelchair accessible bus service provides transportation around town for seniors (50+) and disabled persons of any age. The bus runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Friday. To book a ride, call 403-556-8003 between 9 and 11 am Monday to Friday. The Seniors Advisory Council for Alberta (SACA) is responsible for advising the province on matters relating to Albertaís seniors. It is a government appointed body that reports through the Minister of Health. The Council gathers information on issues important to seniors by consulting with seniors and seniorsí organizations in communities across the province. The suggestions and feedback gathered through the consultations are used to develop advice on legislation, policies, funding and coordination of programs and services for seniors.
