CAANS works to create a welcoming environment and the beginning of trusting relationships with potential service users. The CAANS office has a non-judgmental, open, helpful atmosphere where community members know that our staff are open and flexible to provide extra support, such as filling out applications or problem-solving. Word of mouth is often the best advertising for CAANS programs, especially for the Harm Reduction Programming. CAANS assures privacy and confidentiality in all of our programs including people living with HIV who contact the Health Promotion Program for services.

Companions Caring 4 U has been operating in the Olds, Sundre, Bowden and Didsbury areas since May 2003. We offer private homecare, respite care, meal preparation, year-round yard care from lawn maintenance to snow removal, house sitting, errand running, and companion sitting. We work closely with local homecare agencies, we operate seven-days-a-week, 24-hours-a-day, and are fully staffed with qualified personnel.

The Highland Primary Care Network (HPCN) was established in 2007 to provide a more comprehensive primary care experience for the growing number of community members in the region. HPCN clinics are now located in Airdrie, Didsbury, Carstairs, and Crossfield, which serve over 54,000 patients from those towns and surrounding communities. The primary focus of the HPCN is chronic disease management and prevention, which has lead to the creation of the Health Management Team (HMT). The HMT is made up of registered nurses, registered dietitians, kinesiologists, pharmacists, social workers, and behavioural health consultants, and allows patients suffering from a variety of conditions to access multiple health services in an easier way than ever before. Local Clinic partners include: Silverfern Medical Clinic, Trinity Rose Medical Clinic, and Vervaeck Clinic in Didsbury; Carstairs Medical Clinic; and Crossfield Medical Centre. As of February 2016, also includes the Airdrie Teen and
Young Adult Clinic. Those services include:
• STI education, testing and follow-ups
• Birth control counseling
• Pregnancy testing, counseling and referrals
• PAP screening and referral
• Fentanyl awareness
• Other services as required

The Olds & Area Good Food Club is a food buying club in which you receive a box of fresh fruits and vegetables once per month at a lower cost than most grocery stores, but which also works with local grocers to purchase items. Annual membership fees are only $5 if you volunteer for 8 hours. Once per month you place an order for your box and on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, it will be available for pick up at the Olds Nazarene Church. Small boxes are $10 and large are $20.
