Formerly known as the Roulston Museum, the Heritage Centre is operated by the Carstairs & District Historical Society, offers visitors a chance to rediscover themselves as they explore the rich stories of Carstairs, Southern Alberta, and the Canadian West. Calling upon its collection of over 4,000 artifacts, the museum interprets the vibrant heritage of the region intertwined within the fabric of Canadian History. The museum serves as the Town’s Information Centre during the summer. Summer Hours (June, July and August) Monday to Saturday 10 am – 4 pm and Sunday 1 – 4 pm. Winter Hours (September to May) Wednesday to Friday 1 – 4 pm. Admission by donation.

The Didsbury Museum, situated in the Town of Didsbury, Alberta, was established to tell the story of the founding, settlement and development of the community in and surrounding the Town of Didsbury from the late 1800s to the present. The red brick school became home to the Didsbury Museum in 1989. It was designated a Historic Building in the summer of 1997. In 2006 the Historical Society acquired the title to the public school building, called “The Old Red Brick School House”. Favourite events are the monthly Coffee and Conversations held the 4th Wednesday of each month. For small gatherings and or group meeetings consider the Museum as a unique venue.

The idea of forming a model railroad club was presented to model railroaders and a location was secured in the Didsbury Museum. The Club has their working model on display there and it's getting bigger and better all the time. Club members built walls to define their space and developed a basic track plan which would incorporate a portion of Didsbury facing the railway's right-of-way. See pictures on their website. They also host a Train Show in February at Olds College.
