Heros With Wings is a group of moms who put their hearts into their youth, hockey and community. They created this event to raise money to help Carstairs Elementary school build a playground. This family focused event has shed light on the sport of Sledge Hockey and is becoming a valuable fundraiser for the Carstairs Elementary programs and the Breakfast program at Hugh Sutherland Middle/High School. We keep the community hall active with annual events and summer rentals. The horse poker rally held in September and our turkey supper held in October are the two main fundraisers. The summer books up quickly with weddings and family reunions. Monthly meetings are held the last Tuesday of the month. Check our website for more details and contact.

Located at the Bergen Missionary Church. Bergen Community Playschool is a fully licensed playschool located 10 minutes south of Sundre. We are a play based program, with a
balance of child directed activities with structured learning. We are non-denominational and our classes are a mix of three and four year olds. Classes are kept to 12 children or less. We offer one or two days per week, either
morning or afternoon classes, Monday to Thursday. Classes run October to June, with no fundraising.

As a group, we organize the upkeep of Bergen Hall and the grounds; we have a nearly new playground set with four slides, six swings, and much more. There is a ball diamond and 14 (15 amp) RV plugs around the parking lot. Each year, we sponsor a Christmas concert in December. The capacity of the hall is 150 occupants. We have an up-to-date commercial
kitchen.

The Boys and Girls Club of Olds and Area was established in 2006 as a society as a much-needed affordable community based service for children, youth and families in the Town of Olds and area. We are members of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada. Under the direction of our own volunteer Board of Directors we are responsible for all our own fundraising but follow the guidelines for program and service delivery set out by the Boys and Girls Club of Canada. The Club programs focus on four key areas essential to health child development: Physical Activity; Health and Safety; Leadership; Growth and Empowerment; Learning and Career Development & Community Service. Break of Day provides a break for the single parent family in our community. A free dinner is served the third Wed. of the month(except July and Aug.) from 5-7pm. Parents are welcome to stay and dine with their children or may enjoy a couple of hours away on their own. Childcare is provided by commissioned childcare workers.
